We are now into week 5 of our quarantine routine and we are still so happy with all that our players are doing!
This new normal is giving us all time to spend time with the people we love and the “things” that move us. Field hockey has always been that “thing” for our coaches and we are missing the field like crazy. We are all putting a stick in our hands and getting our reps in...we hope you are too!
We have shared all of the quarantine routines on our Instagram for week one through three with the fundamental skills that you can do at home, with limited equipment, and while social distancing. Below you can see the first look at week four!!! If you haven’t started NOW is the time.
A quick reminder to check out our ‘Blue Star Field Hockey’ channel on YouTube. If you go to our playlists, you will find a bunch of field hockey skill videos that you can do at home.
If you are looking for specific drills or ideas please email us or reach out on Instagram. We are always happy to help.
Take care of yourself and your loved ones, wash your hands, and #keepplaying!
*** Anyone looking to learn goalie that is a U10 player please reach out to firstname.lastname@example.org ASAP!***

We believe in using Field Hockey as a vehicle for empowering young girls to be confident in their abilities. As a sport, Field Hockey has been a major positive force in our lives. We also believe in using field hockey to build character, work ethic and teach life-long lessons. At Blue Star, our mission is to develop great young field hockey players and great young women.
The core of our teaching comes down to two things: 1) mastering the fundamentals and 2) making the right decision. Once our players understand these concepts, we then build upon it and teach more advanced skill sets. The ultimate goal of the program is to give our players the best possible foundation as they enter their high school careers both as athletes but also as ethical, and valuable members of their community!
We believe that through fundamentals based skills, stickwork, positioning, and team play field hockey is a way for young female athletes to pursue their dreams.
We believe in teaching athletes how to be great field hockey players. We want to develop players that will be good in any environment and on any team. This means players with great stick skills and intimate knowledge of the game. With this foundation of knowledge, we then teach players how to make great decisions.
We also believe that it is very important to not just have coaches who are great players, we believe that they should be great role models as well. Our staff is carefully picked to give our athletes extremely knowledgeable coaches that you would like your daughters to look up to.
Having lived, played, and coached in Central Jersey, it is our passion to build up field hockey programs locally. We strive to introduce girls to the sport and develop their passion for the game. By introducing to the sport to girls at a young age and giving them consistent access to the sport (all season opportunities), we will see Central Jersey Field Hockey grow and blossom!
Blue Star Field Hockey believes in creating an Opportunity for Everyone - Beginners to Advanced players!
Our goal is to take players from where they are to where they can be!!! Preparing players for high-level high school play!
